View Full Version : Leather Garment Guinea Pigs Needed

I am planning on offering hand-made leather garments at my clothiers site. I am not intending to compete with the high-end leather jacket companies, but want to offer leather jackets that are affordable and customizable. These will be made in China and will be of a quality comparable to that found at most major department stores (though they will be hand-made and made-to-measure).

At the moment, I'm looking for guinea pigs to help fill up the site. I'm currently making the long black coat from Blade and perhaps Allan Quatermain's vest from LXG. So, if you're interested in a particular design, please e-mail me for details. I will be offering a discount for these prototype jackets. For example, an A2 type bomber jacket will likely be around $150 (shipping included). I will have most leather available including lamb, goat and cow. Feel free to PM or e-mail me with your ideas or any questions.

Kind regards,
Magnoli

Is this offer still on?

Yes, I still offer discounts for "guinea pigs", but my costs have increased quite a bit since that post (part of the reason is I am using a much better jacket cutter and higher quality leather supplier now). Drop me a line if you're interested.

Kind regards,
Magnoli

Would you be interested in reproducing some ladies leather boots? I won these on ebay, but the seller measured wrong and they don't fit. Plus I couldn't wear them on my adventures in fear of ruining them. But I'd think there'd be a market for them.

As that original post was made over two years ago, I'm happy to say that these items are indeed finished. ;) But, as I also said above in a more recent post, I decided to offer much higher quality garments, so the prices are not what I mentioned in my initial post. In any case, here are some of my finished leather garments for those who have not yet seen them:

Is this still on the go? I've seen a great old leather coat that I can't get anywhere. I'd be interested in putting a price on it at the least.

Yes, we have been making leather jacket for a few years now but, as one of my posts above indicated, we decided to produce very high quality custom jackets instead of low-cost "mall-quality" jackets to keep in line with the rest of our garments.

In any case, drop me a line and we can discuss any custom work that may interest you.

Kind regards,
Magnoli
