I recently found myself humming "My beer is Rheingold, the dry beer. . . " and I then started going through all the old radio jingles I could remember. Anyone wanna step into the Wayback Machine and tell us your favorite old radio/TV jingles?

Here are a couple that came to mind immediately.
From the land of sky blue waters..Comes the beer refreshing, Hamms the Beer refreshing...Hamms.
"To Look Sharp" [Gillette Safety Razors and Razor Blades]
[aka: "Look Sharp March",

This could be insanity inducing. I just started remembering the ads for Kauffman's Rye Bread in Buffalo "I'm the jolly little baker, take home a loaf of my delicious Kauffmann's rye bread . . . etc.,etc."
That Gillette ad is a classic. The Friday Night Fight's brought to you by Gillette Blue Blades!
What have I unleashed upon an unsuspecting world!!!

As a kid, I loved radio and TV ads. I am told that when I was around the age of five, I drove my parents crazy by repeatedly singing ads like this one:
When the values go up - up - up
And the prices go down - down - down
Robert Hall this season, will show you the reason
Low overhead...low overhead.

I had a nice Robert Hall suit in 1962. It cost $27!

Cresta...(G, D)

Cresta Blanca. (G d e c E C) (Cork pops)
Cresta Blanca was a popular California winery in the 1940s and '50s.
Its simple, unforgettable jingle was played by a pizzicato string orchestra.

This is from one of the last Green Hornet radio shows.
"Orange Crush. made from the essence of real Valencia oranges. Imagine an Orange Crush with a fried ham Sandwich. Two good things that are good for you."
I'm paraphrasing but that was essentially it.
Sincerely,
The Wolf
See the U.S.A, in your Chevrolet!
Oh yeah, one more:
“You’d better get Wildroot Cream Oil, Charlie. It keeps your hair in trim.”

Ford had a great ad in 1956 sung by the Four Lads. It was based on their hit song "Standing on the Corner Watching All the Girls Go By". But for Ford it became:
Standing on the corner, watching all the Fords go by
Standing on the corner giving all the Fords the eye
Isn't it great, it's the Thunderbird's kissin' cousin...
So don't be standing on the corner, be the guy who's driving by!
