An interesting individual. :( http://news.independent.co.uk/people/obituaries/article2737100.ece Heard Yakety Sax just last week on the radio, a day after discussing it with my best friend. Wanted to have that as the recessional at my wedding 3 years ago, but, um, no, not allowed in church.

Am quite an admirer of Boots' work, as a solo artist, and especially of his work with Elvis Presley......Boots was so much more than just "Yakety Sax".
He had just recently turned 80 years old, and was still going strong, having just released a brand new CD of Jazzy songs called "A Whole New Ballgame" when he took ill.
He will be sorely missed by those who love and appreciate fine music....He was surely one of a kind!
