Herbert Johnson

I got this today. Flat as a pancake when I got it, but I've steamed it back into something resembling a hat. Still might need a bit more to get it to where I want it. It's an english 7-1/8, which is an American 7-1/4.
It's my first Herbert Johnson, and I must say I'm impressed. The ribbon's a bit off center, but the felt is superb.

Dinerman, Good looking, legendary hat! This is not a criticism, but a possible plus. I noticed the slightly buckled sweatband. I have a Lock & Co. (St. James Street, London) which is labeled one size too big for me, but because the crown has shrunk slightly it fits my 7 1/8 head. Does your Herbert Johnson fit like a US 7 1/8? (Which I think I remember being your size.)

I'm somewhere on the borderline between the sizes, so it really depends on the hat. This one fits pretty well

My Herbert Johnson made for Brooks Brothers (http://www.thefedoralounge.com/showthread.php?t=21445) is my favorite hat that I own. Nice find.

I think that might be one of the older, better HJ's you've got there! Don't know for sure, but I think so. Either way, though, nice lid.
