Ok here is a guess: ROSOLINO by Biltmore.
It is cropped off from the entire name, but guessing where the costumer would have obtained hats for this film...that is my guess.
Am I worthy?

My guess is it's SOMETHING by Biltmore, since the oval stamp on the sweatband matches their standard "Simply the Best" cartouche.

I read the mark on the sweatband to be the two oval circles intersecting...which read: Genuine Canadian Leather
So who's worthy?

Andy's worthy...I'm nearsighted.

Rosellini
and "Simply the best"
I think you guys are right.
Looks like Biltmore to me.
That is probably the best shot for a hat liner in a movie I have seen so far.
can you get a clear shot of the custom hatter logo in Costners fedora?
I wonder if Joe Peters could get felt from Biltmore to make Soft Indy hats... I'd preffer it to what Borsalino makes.

Miller Hats gets the majority of their hat bodies from Biltmore, so their "Indiana Miller" might come from Ontario. The blocked version is not particularly accurate, but you can get an open crown version of it. On a barely related subject, I had a grey wool Stetson Mallory (for obvious reasons) that pretty much fell apart after a couple years. When the lining started to come loose I just pulled it out and found chalk letters and numbers on the inside the crown. I could find no significance in them (though I suspect it was factory code for "cheap, hot hat"), but since then I've felt it would be a great clue in a movie.
