I like the Mineral oil or Brilliantine myself.

I've been able to successfully apply Murray's without it flaking off in my hair. It used to flake off and give the impression that I had a bad case of dandruff.

Once I got out of the shower, I towel-dried my hair, put a bit in me hands - rubbed and softened it up a bit - then applied it. I let it sit for a few minutes, then wet my hair again with warm water and combed it through.

Once my hair dried it was fine. No more flaking.

its all about the hair dryer, comes in a metal can because it used to be put on a stove before applying.

I haven't tried Murray's yet. Tried Royal Crown and American Crew which are both good for heavy holding power. I've settled on Brylcreem...just enough hold and shine with a nice smell.

Very true. I've had best results using a hair dryer with any pomade. As for preferences, I'm a big fan of both Murray's Light and Sweet Georgia Brown.
