Just a heads up for the big footed types. Looks like a guy bought out an old shoes store with all the shoes he has listed. Even a few Aldens in there. Have a look. Brand new and I do not know this guy or make money from him. :p

You bet they are the same. Men's clothing sizes have not changed much from the 40's to now. We use the same way to measure roughly as they did in the 30's and 40's. Only women's clothes have changed the way they size things.
I bought a pair of brown cap toes in a size 12 1/2 B. I'm a 12 D, but all the other 12's were 12 1/2 A to AAA! I saw that it had a buy it now for $40. That's real cheap compared to new shoes and these are new old stock! I remember a shop over in Hollywood that were selling shoes like these, they only had NOS in their store. A guy could pay up to 85 or 130 for a pair of shoes from the 40's.
I will buy vintage shoes when ever I see them now. That store don't carry NOS any more since it's gotten so hard to find it. They're making repros now.
