My friend got one of those things, I think it is called the Pokia. Unfortunately the thing doesn't seem to work properly as there is some sort of echo problem with it.

I've always wanted a standard desktop Western Electric
phone with the full brass bells, outfitted with a cellular
back end. That way I could put it on my restaurant
table and REALLY ANNOY the people who are always
annoying me with their incessant digital chimes or are
ignoring their children at the table while they chat with
others on their phones.
Preferably with a dial so they won't know how it works.
Hm, I have a 40s Stromberg Carlson desktop, if only
I knew how to put the digital back end on it... Maybe
I'll just put a battery and a ring button on it.

It works quite well, actually. A friend is moving, and his co-workers bought that exact model for him. Weighs twice what the phone weighs.....
