I must beef up on my Nihongo.
Found this japanese website that has a break down of different styles and cuts for jacket's lapels, pockets vents and more. Check it out.

Interesting tidbit, I haven't seen one in a long time... the pick of the vent that crosses over, this vent is called a hook vent.
