This is the Montecristi I got from PanamaBob a couple of weeks ago. I did like Andykev, and got an unfinished body, then had my hatter finish it up here in the states, although at a rather substantial cost. If any of you guys are interested in doing this, I highly recommend that you either have Bob finish it down in Ecuador, or talk to Art Fawcett like Andykev is doing because it is more reasonable. If any of you want a decent Montecristi at a great price, I highly recommend PanamaBob.

It has a very nice Navy ribbon, but it looks black in the pictures because it is so cloudy today. I will get a bunch of better pictures up when the sun comes out.
This block is called "the Hollywood", and it has a diamond shape to the top of it.

Beautiful!!!! I was just about to order mine. Which one did you get Zohar? The extra fino? super fino? You know the weaves per inch?

That is a good block. Who blocked it? Art?

Thanks

That is one great looking hat Zohar.

I really like the block. What are the dimensions of the hat?

Congratulations!

Thanks a lot; I am really pleased with it as well :) It is around 750wpsi, if I'm not mistaken (it is very hard to count the weaves because they are so tiny). I didn't really specify a super fino, or extra fino. While it's not a the highest weave count he offers, I think it is as good as I need for now.
Art didn't block it, though I am sure that he would do a terrific job on it (for a VERY reasonable price, according to his post in Andykev's thread). You won't go wrong with ordering it from PanamaBob.

Thanks a bunch, Gabe. The brim is 2 3/4", and the crown is 4 3/4.

He had two straws, one had at least 800 wpsi. That was the low end one. I believe the one he wore for dinner Saturday night was much higer. I'm guessing in the 1400 range.
