Is surface cracking normal?

Hey all,

I've owned a lot of jackets in my time - cowhide, lambhide, etc. Never a sheepskin before. I noticed on my new Irvin some fine-line cracking on the surface of the left sleeve and some other fine crack lines on the back. I paid for an Aero, so I am assuming this is the nature of sheepskin, as they do not make bad products, but I am wondering if anyone here has better knowledge.
