Hmmm ... at upwards of 60 bucks to ship to the States from the UK, probably about the same as ordering right from Hats Direct.

No, it just pays to order new so you can chose the color and size you want.
Shipping "costs" from most of these joints is just a way to gouge some more money out of folks who don't pay attention.

The shipping was quite reasonable for someone ordering from within the UK...

Well to be honest, I don't try to judge others finances based on my own. To me $60 is a little excessive, and yes the current trend on ebay is to charge .30 for the product and $300,00 for shipping.
People must believe that everyone else have no idea about the real cost of doing business with the Postal Service, UPS, or Fed Ex.
And to those individuals I simply move on. If it is something I am interested in, I may send them an email informing them that I know that they are trying to make it up on the back end and ask them to be reasonable.

I believe, at $60, that shipping rate is about double what the cost is from Australia to the US ordering right from Hats Direct.
