I just found this nice little blog called 'The rantings of a mad hatter wannabe'. Looks like the lady who runs the blog usually specializes in women's hats, but she posted a little WIP-series about one of her project, the making a homburg from start to finish. She even made the block and flanges herself for the project - from cork!

Go and see for yourself. It's well worth a look as it's all there, right up to the making of the bow and the binding of the brim.

Part 1 (http://kuki.deprada.net/?m=vwqdjrjhouppmf&paged=12) (you need to scroll down to find the start).

Part 2 (http://kuki.deprada.net/?m=vwqdjrjhouppmf&paged=11) (scoll down...)

Part 3 (http://kuki.deprada.net/?m=vwqdjrjhouppmf&paged=10) (right...)

Awesome Mario, thanks for posting. It's a definite keeper for sure. I may even give it a try, maybe not an homburg, but it may be helpful in trying to make a puzzle block for one of these.

I like the fabric a newboy in this fabric would be interesting.
