Hey Folks: Some time ago in a thread about powdered stetsons, I mentioned a Millner in Toronto who offered to source Tonak lids and felt samples. Would there be any interest in this? I was caught off gaurd by Matt Deckards high regard for the felt quality and thought it might be worth a look.

Any thoughts

I could not have been talking about Tonak hats, I have never seen one.

Oops? I may have gotten this wrong but I thought you had the opportunity to see one of the Burlington Coat Factory lids (Someone had found out they were Tonaks). I just remember someone saying they thought the felt quality was better than a modern Borsalino. Having just turned 40 the old grey matter could be starting to fail. :)

Many apologese

Burlington... Yep I saw those. They had no name in them.

I showed the felt to MK and Chamorro too. Did not know they were Tonak.

I have not worn it in the rain at all, though the feel of the felt is pretty surprising and the felt does not crack where it is creased like a modern day Borsalino.

I will post a pic this weekend...
