As an enthusiastic historian of "Oviatt's", Los Angeles's greatest haberdashery of the Golden Era, I was excited to see that three of John Wayne's vintage "Oviatt's" imported newsboy caps (made for the store by "Ayres & Smith") are going to be sold at auction this October:

Any Loungers going to bid on them?

I will be bidding on some of the lots, have not made up my mind as to which ones yet. There will be some rather stiff bidding going on however, as John Wayne items will draw many bidders into some high figures. I am going to have to see in person what they have before I actually do any bidding.

Great to hear it! I will be bidding as well, but not on the screen-worn items. Those "Oviatt's" caps are sorely tempting...
