Hey guys,

Picked up an old Bomber Jacket recently. Not sure if dates back as far as ww2 but i think it could be a possibility. Im pretty sure its made from goatskin but much lighter than the goatskin found on G1's. Cotton waistband/cuffs etc all point me back to ww2 but i havent come accross an old wartime jacket of this exact style before so i could be wrong.

Anybody seen one before?

Will post better pics when i get my photo rig up.

Cheers

Buco

Hi Buco
Nice looking jacket - not sure about date, but I believe that the hide is capeskin.
Very, very similar colour/texture to the McGregor/Doniger that I had up for sale recently (that was from '42).

Your jacket appears to be a civilian horsehide or steerhide jacket dating from the 1940s or early 50s. Close-up of the zips would be helpful.

I will not help you date your jacket. It's unnatural!
