Just finished converting this nice vintage hat for a fellow lounger . This one had a glued down overwelt brim edge and he wanted it replaced with a wide ribbon for a whippet look. Felt color is a pale blue grey I choose a silvery blue binding for the hat.
Brim had to be re trimmed and glue removed carefully along with a gas bath to clean up staining on the brim.

That's a beautiful hat now.

Thanks for comments guys.
I re worked this Bone colored custom hat this wknd by reshaping the crown and adding a marching binding in 3/8. Also cut down brim to 3" .

I posted this in the "Black Hat Brigade" but it's probably more suitable here since it's another conversion project I'm tinkering with. I'm really not that much into it because I don't care for black hats.

It's another black western I came across that had some brim issues. I stripped it down and reblocked it and gave it a deep tear drop crease. I'm still deciding on a ribbon choice and I'm leaning toward one that Esther sent me. Just gotta put it all back together...

Nope. Not a fan of black hats...

Maybe it'll look better after I put it back together

Thanks for comments all.
Here's a western hat I converted for a fellow lounger . Hesitatingly I cut down the 3 1/2 brim per their request to 2 5/8. And although the crown is a healthy 6" I initially thought it wasn't going to look good but after putting the ribbons on the brim and crown it turned out better than I thought.

Bond you know we love ya! That hat ROCKS! hahaha It be my Husband's hat! AMAZING job! We sort of went around the block on what to do color wise on the ribbon...and from day one...Bond had it right and I gave him the green light on his pick, grey! That hat looks like a full custom made....it is exactly what I wanted done on it, for Daniel....

Thank you so much Bond.! Another home run! LOVE YA!
