completely ridiculous .... completely

must be the gold fiber rain cover

it almost looks fake and by the seller in attempt to drive up prices ... like that one a couple weeks ago that "sold" for over $700 then mysteriously was reposted hours later with no bids

if that 50's basic Whippet demanded that much I should be able to get $1,700.00 for my 40s vita felt right ?

... please ... this is just silly

I bid on this for the hatband - http://www.ebay.com/itm/vintage-Corral-West-5X-beaver-felt-cowboy-hat-7-1-2-/122393946073?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&nma=true&si=LpplUBmOulCsjD%2Fqe5BH1phSJWk%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

Like most of my ebay scores in recent times, when it arrives I will probably regret it. However, if the metal hatband is for real, I think it alone may be worth the price I paid for this one.

Think it might be silver?

it does not appear to be tarnished or dull.
John, if it's an older Mexican import it could be nickel silver plated. That may infact be what it is because it doesn't appear to be too shinny. Newer ones are usually sterling silver plated & look very shinny. Most country & western wear shops used to sell them & they were popular mostly with the line dancers & two step crowd.

They will cut & wear into the brim.

Fun Hat
Remembering that I lacked a jaunty green hat for St. Patrick's Day, threw in a $15 bid on this stingy Knox, and surprisingly, won. I assumed it would've been sought by the hipster crowd, but they might not have recognized the brand.
