Where does this end?

Started with a modern era Whippet. Then modern Strat.... Then a nice Portis... then a couple of Gannon’s..... So of course I need a steamer

So I snagged a Jiffy J2 missing a few parts and a hat nozzle. Quick order to Jiffy, and I’m in business a few days later.

When does this madness end? I’ll need a new home with a hat room in a few years at this rate.

I'm right there with you. I had four hats all in transit to me at one time earlier this week. I'm scaring myself.

You're ahead of me because I'm just now considering custom hats. I was distracted with Akubra and some summer hats, but I'm back on track. I also have an ever growing assortment of vintage hats of all sorts. Now I'm thinking there's no way I can order only one custom and I'm planning on a VS and a couple Gannons!

It's hard to believe that three years ago I had a couple flat caps and a few sport specific hats. Those were simpler times. The trouble is that I truly enjoy quality hats. I'm hanging hats using the tennis ball method in a spare bedroom, but eventually the wall space will be filled.

I went through the same thing several years ago with shoes. I still have close to 100 pairs and I don't remember buying half that many. My wife is a very tolerant person. Also like hats, with shoes you can't abide Johnston and Murphy (non-welted) once you try Allen Edmonds. And Allen Edmonds won't due after discovering Alden's and Crocket and jones. Pretty soon your the John Lobb rep knows you by first name and your arranging your vacation to be in Paris for the Saint Crispin's trunk sale. Even now I'm considering moving to Oregon to be closer to Art Fawcett and Gannon.

Maybe I exaggerated a little, but this Lounge doesn't help. Hats that I was once quite happy with now get a sneer because some Lounger has shown me what a hat can be. I got a raise and I didn't think of it as money, to me it's all in hats. Oh, a six hat a month raise. Nice.

And now I'm thinking I need my own steamer because of you.

It ends with one of your relatives dumping your hats for 5 or 10 bucks each in a garage sale, or listing them on ebay. Then one of the other guys here, (probably Moon) picks them up at the garage sale or wins them online and posts selfies wearing your former hats.;)

That’s the first thing I read this morning. I’m going to be snort laughing all day. That’s a lot of naked truth this early in the morning.

Maybe I should just itemize my will to make certain my fellow Loungers get my hats.

In the meantime, I'll just keep accumulating.

Sent directly from my mind to yours.
My son scored a hat-trick last weekend for Raheny united, and by Wednesday I figured someone else would be inheriting my hats as well a 57/58 just aint gonna fit him
