It is very similar here in the states with grocery store food items where the tag on the shelf lists the overall price & then below it a price-per-unit, be it ounce, pound, or what have you.

Yesterday, the 31st of January Jeopardy! Had an entire column dedicated to older terms. The only one that I can remember is the answer was pound sand.

The fact that we as a society don't have a realistic safety net in place for that 70 year old KFC employee is rather depressing.

This intersection of US highway 6 & Lincoln Highway in Westville Indiana was supposedly the busiest intersection in America back in the day.

Those trucks are called brodozers & the drivers are trying to compensate for their lack of manhood, if you catch my drift.
