I have a Stetson Newsboy silk hat that I got about 4 months ago. It has started to get those little balls of fabric that you get on sweaters. How is the best way to remove these? Electric razor?

Like some of the other posters I like the way the first looks just needs to be a bit shorter. Nothing wrong with the second but is has more of a cowboy look with the sides curled up.

I have a fino Montecriste second with a 2.5" brim that I ordered from panamahatsdirect,com. It is a nice hat but it is hard to keep its shape in Alabama humidity. I recently got a Darwin Panama from davidmorgan.com for $120. It has become my favorite summer straw hat.

I just got my first Montecristi Panama hat. I went cheap for my first hat so I can se what I would like later on. I bought this for every day summer use. Will the liner make the hat hotter in the sun? What about a stiffener to help it keep its shape?
