Scored a pair of Edwin jeans!

Second wear after the rinsing out to get rid of excess dye. May have been some shrinkage but its hard to say. They are a bit wrinkled now. Whatcha think... too much cuff? One with boots.... its tough being short *sigh*

Please Explain High End Selvedge Jeans to Me

Having worn Levi's etc all my life and only now having discovered 'high end' jeans, I can say without reservation that I would rather have two pair of the high end types than 6 pair of the mass produced. Not only does the beautiful indigo denim look great and are a pleasure to wear - but, most...

My newly acquired Oceandrive Leather Cafe Racer (modell unknown).

Its a bit too Michael Jackson for my tastes but it fits you like it was made for you IMO.

Scored a pair of Edwin jeans!

Took a shower in them today (as recommended) then hung them out to dry. Wasn't sure if I was supposed to shower in them inside out or not? The instructions didn't say. Just put them on now to wear em in a bit while they're still wet. Can't believe how great they fit, I could live in them. Only...

Scored a pair of Edwin jeans!

Woohoo! Scored my first pair of Edwin jeans... I got a pair of ED-71's - regular, mid rise, slim fit, button fly with red selvage. One of my clients imports them for his store and I took em as part payment for some work I did for him. I can NOT believe how heavy duty these jeans are! Having...

    Quaid's VEGAS jacket

Jackets in Vegas TV series Is anyone watching this show, set in 50s Vegas? Some cool period clothing and cars on display and the main characters sport some very nice leather jackets. Dennis Quaid's is a half-belt with some nice grain. Anyone have any idea who makes 'em?

New Highwayman -- w/ new buckle and one piece back

Try standing 5'10", weighing 230lbs and having a 46-48 inch chest. It's a nightmare finding off the rack jackets that fit.

Some questions concerning a Levi's Trucker in raw denim

Just to give an update. It is a hot and dry day here today, so I thought I would try a little experiment. I hung the jacket on a hanger on the fence and then hosed it down front and back with a hosepipe. I then hung it out to dry on said hanger. Dried very quickly and .... doesnt appear to have...

Some questions concerning a Levi's Trucker in raw denim

Oh yeah.... Interestingly I read somewhere that its actually the dye you're smelling too, and not the hide itself.

Some questions concerning a Levi's Trucker in raw denim

Thanks. I actually took the time to read the hang tag and it says it has a treated finish and its best to wear it as long as possible before washing. One thing I have noticed is that is has a very strong smell, which is kind of weird. Impossible to describe but very distinctive. I assume its the...

Some questions concerning a Levi's Trucker in raw denim

Thanks for the advices, gents. I will wear it until it becomes a tad odiferous and then give it a gentle handwash and air dry.

Some questions concerning a Levi's Trucker in raw denim

Much obliged! Will do... I was pleased to find it. Although it appears they are now made in China, the quality seems to be very high. I have always found their Trucker jackets to excellent all-rounders, I've owned a few over the years. Interestingly the buttons on this one are subdued, kind of...
