I'd like to buy on of the hand-knit clan sweaters from the Aran Sweater Market next to add to the collection Stevieboy1. They are 2 pounds heavier than the machine knit ones that they sell. $200 but they seem worth it. Maybe next year. There is a nice video about Aran sweaters on their web...
This arrived today in New York from the Aran Sweater Market in Ireland, Merino wool, tree of life and trellis stitches. 2x fits me a bit tight but that is their largest size.
I love Irish Fishermen's sweaters and the history and symbolism behind them. Wore them a lot this winter. (Although I am not Irish at all, except on Saint Patrick's Day.) Just ordered one from Ireland with a Tree of Life Design.
