I don't doubt you and others like Ole and Daniele Tanto have had good experiences in the past with PHD. The reason I bumped this thread to begin with was to ask about experiences before I contacted PHD. It didn't work for a good experience for me is all I have said. With that being said...

It strikes me that the different ways these guys wear their hats is a reflection of their body stance. or......is it the other way around...

Panama Hats Direct may have just scared me off with my first inquiry about ordering a hat in my size that they do not ever have in stock. Customer service tired, what I call, bait and switch. They tried to switch me to a hat they had in stock that is 2 sizes to big and that had different brim...

Thanks for the updates and comments guys. With the higher prices on ebay now and small number of hats to buy from in my small head size I'm considering a Cuenca grade 4 or a Sub Fino in the Optimo style. I can no longer justify $200 -$300 for a hat that wouldn't get much head time...
