'Crimewave Week' on TCM

oops...I just realized I probably should have posted this before today, but Turner Classic Movies is having 'Crimewave Week' this week. It started Tuesday and runs through next Tuesday. They are showing 99 different crime films from all different eras, but of course, they are leaning heavily on Golden Era films. Lots of great film noir and gangster films still to be shown, so go over to www.turnerclassicmovies.com and check the schedule. They've already shown a bunch of great stuff, and there's more to come.

You know, I remember a time when Ted Turner was reviled for colorizing classic films. At least he's seen the light, for all I've got to say is "God bless Ted Turner and TCM."

Great stuff, those films.

You can ALWAYS turn DOWN the color setting on any monitor or T.V. if you prefer the B&W. Of late, I believe that Mr. Turner has realized the merit of maintaining the original quality. And where else is anyone doing so much to preserve the great classics.
