What are your plans for the 4th?

I just want to wish everyone a safe and Happy Independence Day (well a day early). I hope to break out the grill and have a few burgers and chops, and spend some time with my family. (isnt that what the holidays are for?)

So, let's see what everyone is doing for this summer celebration. I hope everyone has a great weekend and get to have the best of times.

This picture is actually from 2008, but the pic is the same as from 1968 on. I kept my Bossie Bingo Ticket (I didn't win). The stores behind the yellow and white striped tent are where I used to work. I wired hog houses and delivered appliances until I left for college. This year I got to ride in the truck with the boss's kid (45) while my old boss threw candy. The boss's grand daughter was Miss Independence.

That is great it looks like a perfect example of small town America, we need more of this. I love the way that people can come together and still enjoy themselves.
