Garrett, rlk, Douglas, and feltfan will own this thread, if they get into it.
I can't keep up with those guys. rlk has months in which he buys as
many hats as I own!

I will have a look at what I have around. For the moment I
will remind everyone of one of my strangest (and as yet not
worn in public) hats:

I got this Stetson western from rlk some time ago. Very old, and VERY teal. Super high crown. I've made up a little story in my imagination to explain why it is in such like-new condition: "Happy birthday, dear - I got you a new hat!" "Uh,.. that is,.. errr,.. thank you sweetheart. I like it sooo much that I'm going to keep it right in the box and put it in a place of honor up on the top shelf in the closet here..." Then he puts his dirty silverbelly Open Road back on and somehow manages to forget to ever wear this one. lol

Excellent theory. Great to see that one again, strangely not on your head:) Definitely the most intense, saturated color I've seen on a hat. Wakes you up when you look at it.

Art Fawcett made this one for me from an old, unfinished hat body that I've had for years. Thick, soft, slightly furry black felt with a pale lavender band.

Gawd, that is sharp! :eusa_clap

I've been really impressed with these hats so far! I like that Spinner, too!

Well, I can't match the Camo-liner, but this Stetson Royal Deluxe two-tone is the only one of it's kind I've seen.

I believe this was made on a light gray hat body that was "double-dipped" to make the bottom portion of the hat body (the brim) a darker gray. You can see the wafering of the hat when you look at the brim edge on.
