He's got a '33 wagon and he calls it a woody.

1933 Ford station wagon with '59 V-8...and, happily, outside of that and the appropriate running gear, she appears original!

There are practically no '33 Fords left that aren't concourse queens or kandy-kolor kustoms. Let's hope someone goes the way of preservation with this baby.

Except for the smaller wheels and fatter tires, that '34 had me fooled. Ie, it didn't.

See, I want my old cars to be old, not made better thru technology that postdates them. I'd rather have a stock 85hp V-8 that ratchets like an industrial sewing machine, and big banjoey wire wheels that look like baby birds should be nesting in them, and brakes that need six blocks to come to a stop from 40mph. When the porky dudes in the eagle t-shirts see my ride at the street meet, I want them to hear Orange Blossom Special in their heads, not The Peppermint Twist. At least until I flip the catch on the RCA wind-up portable on the tailgate and blast 'em with the depression hit parade, amplified in a fine wood and leatherette resonating chamber.

This is too good to be true. The seller - who types like a real old rodhead - says he changed the original steering wheel and front end wishbones...get this now..."for that nostalgia look."

Then again, would anybody but a Lounger be nostalgic for 1933?

Great to see one this original. I appreciate the customs, but an original is really something! And there was some good news in 1933, the lift of Prohibition!!
