You may want to look at AdoraBatBrat's blog. If you search Montignac, you can see all her recipes and hints. This is actually how I found out about it in the first place. If it works for a bony model with 2 kids, I figured it would work for anyone!

i cant really find anything on the diet, im way too distracted by all these pictures =]]

Start taking healthy foods and add fruits and vege in your diet. and regular do regular workouts. then you wil look more younger than ever. Don't be upset. be happy. happiness keeps us young.

I started using the myfitnesspal ap on my android to keep myself accountable of what i'm eatting and my exercise. Down 5 pounds so far....I really need to be more active though, with the out of workness I set on my rump alot. And we've been having excess heat...so I really dont want to go out side lol

I walk a lot. Even if I don't get mt day's walk while doing chores.. I "hit the road", or to be precise: I do couple of laps on the racetrack (I do try to pick the time in the evening, to make sure there's no horses there). And I like hiking.. so there's no problem with the "exercise" part..
The PROBLEM is in the "eating" part of the weight lost deal. I can't not eat a lot. I faint. [huh]

Result: I don't gain weight, but I don't lose it, as well. Oh, well.. I don't mind.. as long as I'm healthy.. :D

I don't sub out for sweets, I've come to a place where I only need a small amount to be satisfied.

Some years back I made an active choice to 1) no longer be tied to a clock as to when I eat- "oh, its 12noon, I must eat lunch" et al, and 2) I try to eat really excellent and high quality food, including no diet foods or low cal stuff, and no more junk food either. I say, "if I'm going to put something in my mouth, its going to be the best!"

I've gotta have me some dark chocolate just about every day, especially since there is good stuff in dark chocolate. I never eat milk chocolate- blechh. However, I've over the years become a "chocolate snob"- I no longer eat junk chocolate- ie. hersheys, m&m's etc. I choose to eat really good dark chocolate, by getting better quality and better tasting stuff I've found that I need and want less of it. My current EXCELLENT fave is Amadei's (from Italy)- Chuao or No. 9, it has NO soy lecithin. Once you taste chocolate without the lecithin they add as an emulsifier in chocolate bars, there is no turning back. If I cannot get the Amadei, I go for a French Valhrona 70% (red V on label).

I work out five to six a days a week, so along with eating healthy foods my metabolism is kicked up. Very different from my overweight stressed eating couch potatoe days of long ago.


Have you tried replacing sweets with a healthier alternative? Or a smaller amount? 2 Hershey's kisses vs a whole candy bar, or a cup of hot chocolate or some pineapple chunks or a popsicle instead of something more calorie-laden? Sometimes it takes a while to find the right substitute, but it can help.

Hmm... I don't agree. I've tried the Amadei and the Valhrona, and I have to say I prefer "junk" chocolate. I'm much more of a milk chocolate person, so that may be why.

So, I've tried hersheys and m&m's.. as for the rest: I have NO IDEA what they are.
(didn't like the chocolate.. but, hey, I don't like "Milka" or "nestle", so..)

And "no soy lecithin"? Is having that in your food bad? Or just *yuck* ??

Anyhow, I prefer DARK choco. lol
(but I have days when I have to have a sweet one.. life is sweeter than, no?) :essen:

Up until about two months ago, I was eating 2500-3000 calories a day and getting no exercise. I was to the point where I was barely squeezing into my clothes. I was living on junkfood like fast food, chips, candy bars, and pasta. I led a very sedentary lifestyle and was essentially a heart attack waiting to happen.

A couple of months ago a fraternal group I belong to scheduled a day hike for October 22 that is a little over six miles. I've always wanted to get into backpacking, but I knew that I didn't stand a chance of making it more than a fourth of the way if I didn't get myself in shape for the hike. So I began training.

I began walking for ten minutes and then turning around and walking back home. I'm now walking four and a half miles in about eighty-five minutes. I've lost eighteen pounds and all the fat is gone from my legs and butt. I'm building muscle and feel better than I have in twenty years. I'm sticking to a 2000-calorie diet and eating much healthier. I still have about thirty pounds to lose to get down to my target weight.

I hope to be down another ten pounds before the hike, but I know now that I'll make it without any problem. This is a lifestyle change that I definitely needed at age fifty-six and I know I'm on an exercise and diet that I can comfortably live with for the foreseeable future.
