Many go with nickel for black jackets and brass for brown jackets. On your jackets I would go with a silver cross on all of them.

Either.... depends on the jacket. I like both. I much prefer brass with brown leather, but I like both brass and nickel with black.
Brass for brown for me and my one remaining black jacket now has black zips and studs as will any future black jacket.
10 quids worth of antiquing fluid and a bit of care with a paint brush and you end up with a black jacket with black hardware and with nothing glinting at you...I have always hated chrome hardware, just wish I had know about the stuff 20 years ago.
