Help me place a date to this photo please?

Based on the way the people are dressed, the cars in the photo, the vegetarian and level of sunlight, can you guys help me approximate a month and year for this photo? It was taken in Connecticut, if that helps as far as the month part. The cars could help with the year.

From a home movie shot the same day, my mother's haircut (girl on left), if that also helps. My mother was born in 1954.

I don’t know how much help this is but maybe we can narrow it down. The cars and hairstyle suggest the 60s. Perhaps 65-68? I don’t know if those are new automobiles.
I’m wondering if that’s a 60 Chevy Impala?

I think I see the leaves turning I n the background on a few trees. Its Connecticut and the man is wearing short sleeves? August-September? 1967?

I'm almost positive the car in the immediate background is a '61 Chevy and the one behind that is a '65 Ford.

It was at The School Sisters of Notre Dame nunnery/nun school in Connecticut.

I will tell you when the photo is NOT from to narrow it down:
It is not from 1969, as in a photo from September 1969 my mother has shoulder length hair.
It is not from 1970 or beyond.

Ok. I’ll bet its much earlier then. I agree that’s probably a 60 or 61 Chevy though again I don’t know how old that car was when the pic was taken. I’d love to have that car though. J

I would guess, according to the photo from the home movie, she would be between 14 and 18 years old. If she was born in 1954, that would mean the photo was taken between 1968 and 1972. If you know the photo was not taken after 1970, and her hair was longer in 1969, then that leaves 1968 as the most probable time in my thinking. I really don't think your mother was less than 14 in the home movie clip.

I am not the person to count on for '60s cars. They are a bit newer than I like to play around with. However I am fairly sure that the Chevrolet is a bit newer than 1960. Probably about a '62 or '63. Wish I could tell you more.
