Honestly, every single one of your replies makes me think about my decision. But to clarify, this will be my (second) only leather jacket, haha. I’ll sell my BK as soon as I get it back from Greece. So, I think dark brown is a good color for the only jacket.
Plus, I’ve just confirmed with DD, he will make full brass hardware, even the snaps. Olive drab thread all over. She will be a beauty!

Hallo, because this is my first post then let me introduce myself first.

My name is Ridwan from Indonesia and I'm very excited for every A2 jacket.
My first impression about your jacket.. Is awesome, and you make inspiration for me.
Suddenly I remember my A2 avirex jacket in my garage with full of dust..
First wipe the dust and wax the jacket using Pecard Leather Dressing and tadaaaa......
The result was a great jacket with full wrinkles and patina.

And monitor, I also agree with you that a black J-21 jacket is really great! Especially the black ones of DD look amazing on the photos. And yet, I thought, damn, the brown will be really special and also look amazing with the brass zipper front.

I've given it some more thought and I think you're absolutely correct to go with a brown colour for this style, so don't go overthinking it now! You're set. :) It'll be a dream of a jacket no doubt (Bunyip is right about Daves J-21 being sex on legs, one that was in the Classifieds was the most beautiful jacket I've EVER seen) and you're right, I guess I'm just used to seeing Perfectos almost exclusively in black so this jacket ought to be just as cool with a touch of added personality, since I'd imagine mostly everyone (myself included) would go for a black J-21/24. Can't wait to see the result! Really looking forward to it. :D

But please, please go with a standard, non aged leather. Let your jacket tell your story.

Haha. Thanks Monitor! Yeah, the plan is standard brown non-aged.
And still I'm thinking about black as it's just so beautiful with the buffalo plaid wool lining. Haha. Damn.
But yeah, the brown will be good as well. Oh man...

I haven't really made up my mind if I'm into D pockets or not but that one posted above is a damn nice looking jacket.

I've asked D about the option of having the tea core, Bordeaux dye and then black dye. And yes, it's possible!

Nah, there isn't. But it just sounds like a hell of a combo. Haha. I think I'll actually give this a try. So, monitor, it'll be black after all.

I'm choosing brass zippers all over.
So one question remains:
Brass snaps or silver snaps?
Anyone having a photo of black leather with all brass hardware? Have seen a lot of silver studs and snaps and it looks great, even with brass zips.
What do you think?
