That's just what I'm not sure about. I haven't seen a black jacket with full brass hardware. But this one with silver and brass mixed looks like my dream of a jacket!!!

Haha. That sounds like a final word!
But I think they made seal brown J’s with full brass hardware. And the black ones were only made with silver snaps?

As far as I know, only the J-27 models (police jacket) had dark snaps. But only you, know what color suits your jacket's snaps fine :)

IMHO, black leather looks best with silver hardware. I personally also prefer silver hardware with brown leather, but I see the merit of using brass with brown (I prefer antique brass). I have not yet attained the artistic mastery/confidence/zen necessary to mix and match hardware finishes and would not consider doing so.

It's a rocker / biker jacket after all, so I think that the mixed hardware just further signifies what it stands for.

Superfluous, but have you seen this?

Yes and, IMHO, the polished brass on that jacket is a tad too flashy/bold for my taste, particularly when coupled with the exposed zipper tape. I personally prefer a more understated look (hence my preference for silver hardware). I have a dark brown leather jacket with polished brass hardware and I never wear it because I am self conscious about the bold/flashy look of the hardware. Moreover, depending on the finish, polished brass can look like gold plating. Ironically, the mixed hardware on the subject Buco jacket is less problematic to me precisely because the polished brass, coupled with the exposed zipper tape, is so bold that it draws your attention away from the silver buttons and the non-matching silver goes largely unnoticed.

I like antiqued brass or antiqued silver, and matching to hide color zipper tape, on black jacket
polished brass and nickel are too much for me, unless the jacket is white or red:D
that's just me and my 2 cents

Sweet lord... That has GOT to be the finest looking leather jacket I have EVER seen!! You have just made a very poor and indecisive man out of me, Mysteryo. Thank you.
