What was the last TV show you watched?

With yesterday being the 52nd anniversary of President Kennedy's assassination, my wife and I spent much of the afternoon watching documentaries about the Kennedys, conspiracy theories, his Secret Service Agent detail, and so on, mostly because we couldn't find anything better to watch.

TWD. SPOILER

Bye-Bye from my watch. Not only does he come back, but rather unceremoniously, as if anyone should have ever doubted it. Run of the mill-like. Not only do they play the audience the cheap fool for several episodes with such a disingenuous trick, but then they further insult us by presenting it like we were stupid for ever considering it. Brazen, to say the least. Then...THEN...two things in the aftershow. 1) Hardwick, the host, says everyone he's asked wants Glenn back no matter what. Oh, really? You're going to further manipulate us with that kind of game, too? Nobody thought it was boilerplate and lazy and lacked any decency? 2) To further 1), they run a poll with three positive choices to "what did you do when Glenn came back?" (I think that was the question). Where was the "no thanks on that one" option? I'll put $100 down on #42 that they've caught some blowback and had to go on this mini campaign to save face.

and can I just add that Scott Gimple was yet again a grade-A goober, and if Steven Yeun didn't have a "yeah, this is my a$$hole boss who writes story with grade school sophistication" all over his face, I'll eat a fresh cow pile. "I'd like to apologize for this, but I want to keep my job."

Sorry for all the negativity, but this kind of thing really ticks me off.

I have to agree with you 100%! Sheer emotional perfidy! I figured he wasn't dead because they didn't do their usual "Goodbye it's been nice to know you " on the couch or "in memorium". I think the whole think stinks personally but I'll probably be back again next week.... silly me.

Indian Summers turned out to be a pleasant little treat of a series. It's a little simple, but not to too much of a fault (I wish Poldark could have fallen on that side of the line). They did transition poorly from Aafrin/Sita to Aafrin/Alice. To me, that felt rushed and not believable the way it was presented. I'm not so sure on the suicide attempt situation, either. I think I understood the purpose (beyond explaining the sandal and murder) inasmuch as giving Ralph's duality even more depth and contradiction, but for the character of Bhupinder, it was wishy-washy.

Watched the entire season of "The Man in the High Castle" in two days. I want to write a review, but need to simmer things a bit in my mind before I do that.

Initial impression, however, is very, very favorable: more to the point, I loved it.

Walt Disney doc. Small increments over a long period. That guy was a dick. I was never a Disney kid and never had any of it on my radar, but I didn't care either way. Now I'm thankful I wasn't.

It's funny, I was the right generation - born in the '60s - but Disney hardly penetrated our house. We might have a watch a special or two, but they made no impression on me. We didn't take vacations (might as well have asked if we went to the moon), so Disneywhatever wasn't on the radar and we didn't buy almost any marketed merchandise. To this day, I only know the major Disney characters somewhat and don't really no the minor ones. We did watch all the peanut specials and followed the cartoons in the papers, but other than a notebook for school when I was real young that had snoopy on it, that was about as far as it went. From what I've read - didn't see the special you did - he was not a nice guy below the surface.

Agreed on all points. Because my wife and son are interested in watching I am still viewing but on auto-pilot..

More Law & Order reruns from the late nineties. It's crazy to watch and then realize these episodes aired seventeen years ago. Just like my Thanksgiving break, time really flies.
