Looking for a free pattern of a 40's style turtleneck sweater that uses modern measurements for the wool and needles etc. My Mum has kindly agreed to knit me a knock off of the Nigel Cabourn George Lowe sweater but finding a suitable pattern is proving a challenge.

So, do any of you know where such a thing might be downloaded from? Thank you for your time and help.

Thank you Tuppence. I'm a guy and a fairly chunky one. 33-34 waist size and a 44-46 chest size. So if you have anymore suggestions it would be much appreciated.

I found this one on Ravelry, I have been lusting after this sweater for a long time but alas I am a crocheter with no idea how to knit. Also if you haven't already you should join Ravelry it is free to join and there are great patterns some are fre and some are not. Just make sure you check the notation, again I am a crocheter but notation in the states is different than in Europe. Anyhow here it that link http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/nancy-15
