What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

I keep telling you monitor, there are plenty on eBay. Just use a shipping service if actual seller won't ship to your country.

I know man, but I always fail at buying the good ones.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brooks-60s-...n-Zipper-M-L-Vintage-/111976272505?rmvSB=true <- This one's too chewed up
http://www.ebay.com/itm/VTG-60S-BRO...OTORCYCLE-JACKET-M-L-/121947811915?rmvSB=true <- Too pricey, doesn't ship abroad
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/NEW-CAFE-RAC...S-DETROIT-ROCKABILLY-/272216353461?rmvSB=true <- Way too pricey

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Vintage-BROO...Jacket-60s-Patina-32-/262369463503?rmvSB=true <- And then you have this clown.

He bought this jacket off Etsy for $100 something, someone here may even have noticed it, been there for ages, he removed the Harley patch (which was the reason I didn't buy) and is now reselling it for $600 - which would've been an unrealistic price by any stretch of imagination even without the needle holes and busted up sleeve zipper. Some HD rider would probably have picked it up eventually but the jacket's even less valuable now, with the missing patch... What a jackass. I recognize half the jackets he's re-selling, all purchased at a super low price.

The boots are Russell Moccassins and they're very comfortable. They have minimal soles which make the sole very flexible and there's no heel lift. I don't think they'd be the best for lots of walking or standing on concrete but work good for driving, walking off road and general daily use. If you're a size 9.5 or 10 Lando is selling a couple pairs in the classifieds now.

Did anyone watch that 1940's Vanson jacket sale on ebay that ended yesterday? I'm still gnawing on my fist over it. I was sure I was on top of it, even upped the ante by $50.00 right at the end, but somebody must have upped it by $100.00. Last 15 seconds.

Which one was that? Is 1940 the name of the jacket? Vanson was established in the 70's, right?

The heading for the auction was "1940's Style Vanson Leather Jacket." Absolutely gorgeous jacket. I've been holding off on any further leather purchases (except the one I got from Terry) and trying to concentrate on things I can wear down here, but this jacket was just phenomenal.

Was it the Raider? Canadian seller? Sz. 38?

Yes, that was it. I like everything about it, especially the cut. The worst thing about getting outbid is that the measurements were exactly mine! How often does that happen?

After last week's snow, we're now back to a comfortable 15°C, with bright sunshine. So off to the good ol' Alpha L2 beater!

One too many times. That Brooks was PERFECT in every way for me. 26" sleeves, 25" back, size 42... Near new, lining, EVERYTHING. 103 euro winning bid. And I know I placed like 150 at the last two seconds. I still keep the auction bookmarked, for when I want to completely feel like crap.

Those Raiders don't show up very often...very cool jacket, leather lined gun pocket, the false cuff w/ a zip, styling similar to the bootlegger...I loved mine but it was a 40" and tho generously cut the shoulders became to small.
