last year around this time I ordered a custom harness boots through a local company in my country, it has been a VERY long wait and a lot of pure faith, today they sent me some photos
of the finished boots... I think I like it very much :) can't wait for it to arrive

Thank you Mike,
a surprise, but this is already their 2nd attempt, and already fully paid since the start ( they promised me 1 month, so I thought paying full upfront will help cover the cost, give security and trust thus will speed up the process... how wrong it went) probably they don't have the exact toe shape mold I wanted but never say it, their first attempt was not good, I think I posted a picture here few months back when they showed me, those 3 ridges on the top was not on the same position on the left and the right shoe.
this one I can live with although some details I mentioned, and shown in my drawing are missing, but overall I'm happy.

Hello,

I have a doubt about RRL ENGINERRS. Is Julian the only manufacturer, or it chances over the years?

Thanks

Alex

4 different versions that I'm aware of by 4 different makers. The first 2 iterations were very nice (Julian & a texas boot maker). Then the profile got more homogenous. The last round is very blah IMHO. Others know a lot more than me though.

I'm not a rich or fancy guy, and I've bought almost all of my boots (Wolverine/ Redwing) 2nd hand at good prices.
My question for those "in the know" is: Are the Attractions worth almost double the cost of the Redwing 2966 non-steel toe boots?
Thanks

question - not sure if it's been covered in the 100 some odd pages prior, but wondering if most of you wear some kind of insoles in your boots. either for comfort, better fit, or both.

thanks!
