My original intention was to post this photo, given the time of year.
The message was to be: Merlin wishes you all a magical Halloween. But his name's not Merlin, it's Jasper, and he's buried under the tree that he used to sit and caterwaul at the birds. He was funny and so adorable, and in our hearts is still with us. Like other Loungers, our deceased pets enriched our lives, it gives me comfort. Sometimes when I here the wail of a cat I think of him and admonish him. "You silly cat, you'll never catch them giving the game away."
Life goes on, the sun comes up and now we have three long haired Birman cats, in some countries they are known as Himalayans, who keep us on our toes, not least the youngest, Ruby-Mae. Condolences to you kaiser.
