Following up my previously posted photo in this thread, here's another startling clothing combination, though in a photo that takes place 10 years later.
This time the outfit in question is the sports coat, shirt, and tie combo worn by the guy on the right, in this circa October 7, 1959 photo:

I have to disagree on this one. That's simply a houndstooth tweed, probably tan and brown, which, with a pair of dark brown or gray trousers, would look very nice. I say this because I just bought one on the bay, a black-and-gray Harris Tweed that I really can't wait to wear. I'll be pairing it up with black jeans, white shirt, black tie and fedora, and either a black or dark red sweatervest. Not a Herb jacket at all. The guy above just needs a little heavenly guidance with the tie and shirt.

Same cowboy, don't you think? Same boots in both pics and look like ACME bluebirds. Love the painted add in the window of the second pic.
