Not sure if anyone else has come across this, but the Royal Canadian Navy is investigating the possible sighting of a long-lost (probably dummy) nuclear bomb of the coast of British Columbia.

An object was found by a diver near Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands formerly):

Directly above the center of the Earth.

Live bomb, just missing the plutonium core which was inserted in flight as a "safety feature". The mark 4 was basically a GI proof version of the fat man device. The divers description doesn't quite match the bomb, I am guessing it is an old ships boiler or condenser.

Piles of conspiracy theories around that B36 crash.

It did crash on the BC mainland, sans bomb. I'll be following the story and provide an update.

Well behind the front lines!

There's more than that out there. You can Google this, but there are a few live nukes that went missing after collisions and crashes, where the DoD and DoE knows the rough area where they must be, but have never been able to find them. One is inside the continental US...

There's code words for everything that can go wrong with a nuke. Empty Quiver is actually the most correct code word that's be used in the case of that movie referenced above...

Yes, the Royal Canadian Navy's HMCS Yellowknife went out, with the diver who discovered this thing, and using a remote vehicle determined it's a piece of industrial equipment, in fact a large part of one (origin unknown):
