I am now able to make my passport replicas with genuine gold foil covers, like this:
If I get too good at this I'll have the Feds beating down my door... or in my case, I suppose it'll be Interpol.

I've now moved beyond heat-transfer foil to genuine die-stamped foil:
Though not vintage, this cover better shows the detail and quality of the new cover stock and foil method I'm using:
