Shes gonna need a Dr.

Not if they wash their hands first. Or wear rubber gloves.

Foolin aroun with the center dent and pinches. Unflanged brim as shown will be 3 inches with a burgundy whipstich. Have yet to decide on the flange... Brown hat body is lighter and the 12 ligne ribbon is more burgundy then pictured. Lightweight hat now weighs 2.3 oz. View attachment 61663
It's getting there. I'm interested in Mikes whipstitch, can't wait to see detail on it.

Just arrived this past Tuesday. Natural undyed beaver felt with a 1 3/4" ribbon in Kangaroo (a type of a tan). Crown height is 5 1/2" when open; brim width is 2 5/8". The overall idea was inspired by Mr. Redfokker's 1942 Rose Bowl hat; but the whip-stitched edge treatment was added to the project after I viewed Mr. Bob Roberts posts of Mike's work in this capacity. The C-crown was put in by Mike (since he does such a fine job, I opted not to attempt to bash it myself this time). The felt is very thinly pounced, and it is superbly finished. I was quoted a 3-month wait, but in reality it was just a day or two over 2 months. This is my first hat from Mike, and will certainly not be my last! Had to look at this hat a few times, the color makes you wonder about browns, tans, pecan, whiskey, and yet no...it is all a color when a natural all on it's own. I like it more each time I take a peek at it.

I agree. I was rather indifferent to the felt at first, but the natural, un-dyed color looks better to me each day.

I hesitated for a long time before ordering a Natural but it is one of my faves. The colour is really great and even though neutral is not blah by any stretch

I am seeing a bit into that when looking at the pictures, and can tell the picture does not do the hat justice! For me it tends to be a mix of color that could damned well go with any attire aside from a black or white tie formal wear. Sort of like how a silverbelly can get along handsomely with about anything you want to toss on and go get on your horse and RIDE! Haha! And of course if your horse is a 1959 Caddy, that will work, too! Loving it!
