very cool - I don't need to be seeing stuff like this as I have not had anything on my list - this does NOT help as I have toyed with buying from him before. He offers some styles no one else offers.

I'm seriously considering the shawl collared with buttons one, any opinions/info on that jacket would be highly appreciated.

Cheers.

Fonzie, they run slim/ small with trim sleeves/armholes. I'm a 38, and my Medium fits spot-on. If you can do custom sizing, I'd recommend it. The horsehide is mid-weight, and soft. I live in California, and it's the perfect weight IMHO.
I'd look at the Bison options too. The cognac and brown Bison are beautiful.

Part of what makes Thedi's jackets so cool are his unique "aging" techniques- I'd take advantage :)

I ordered the shawl 'cognac' buffalo, meaning I will soon have a considerable – albeit dead – menagerie in my house. You can also choose a nice goat and horse. They are really sweet, trim jackets; you can get cotton, blanket or, I think, cord lining.

In the unlikely event you can make it, it's worth going to Thessaloniki for a fit. They will keep your details on file for whenever you want to order. Thessa is a calm and, in parts, pretty seaside city that feels a lot less stressful than Athens. Very good nightlife and eating. The Thedi shop is a predictably lovely-smelling little cave on an alley leading off the seaside strip. Theodoros's very helpful daughter seems to mind the premises while Thedi makes the jackets nearby.

They have a few non-jacket items, too, like wide, heavy belts with proper brass buckles that will probably last a few centuries.

Looking forward to my jacket big time!

Thanks so much Handymike, your jacket is amazing and the fit is spot on! It was actually one of the reason I wanted to get one after I saw your original post. I'm thinking on black goatskin, I haven't got anything in this leather and I'm curious to see how it feels and drapes.

I have one of their padded shoulder cafe racer, picked up from Thurston Bros. Really nice jacket, top quality work. Yes, the sleeves, armholes are on the slim side. I won't mind getting more of their jackets, some nice unique styles in there!

I think it would be amazing!
The Menlo Cossack jackets in unlined goatskin were incredible looking...
I think you are on the right track to something very cool...

That's what I was thinking!
Unlined black goatskin to be able to wear it more often, it doesn't get too cold where I live in South Australia.

My only concern would be if it would hard to slide in the arms when I put it on and take it off if it hasn't got a lining.
I like high armholes and narrow sleeves as I'm a slim guy but I've never had a leather jacket without lining.
Any experience with that?
