On the recommendation of the staff at Total Wine, I bought Winchester Rye on Saturday. I tried it neat, and did not care for it. Not that it's too strong, it was sort of... metallic? Mineral-ly? Will give it a second chance in a Manhattan.

Several Samuel Adams Doublebock doppelbocks at a Tap Takeover tonight. Also sampled their Rebel IPA (a lot of grapefruit & citrus), another IPA with mango & fruit, & one I can't even remember. The doppelbock offered up a dark caramel & toffee flavor with lots of Malt, thin head. IMHO the doppelbock is the only one I would ever pay good money for.

Bearing in mind that two of the best kinds of beer are 'ice cold' and 'free'.....I drank up some bud light last night while visiting with a friend who works for the local distributor of Anhauser-Busch products.
