Hi Everyone,

Here are the photos.

I can post some more later of the back and with the belt, which some moron kack-handedly shortened. But I knew that before I bought it.

This is a great jacket made with lovely leather. It's a bit bigger than expected and is a bit too roomy on me. The pics shown are with a very thick wool jumper underneath which fills it out in the shoulders, but it is definitely a bit large around the midrif and sleeves. I am deliberating returning it, but I don't really want to.

I can have it brought in around the waist and the sleeves shortened. If I keep working out like I am I'll likely grow into the shoulders.

It's very comfortable and has an intact removable fleece lining. It's the creakiest, squeakiest thing I've ever worn haha. The leather is heavy and very soft so it feels great to wear.

Nuff said really. Opinions, good or bad, are welcome.

Cheers

Cheers buddy. I've not seen any of their brown jackets yet, but I'll certainly keep an eye out. I paid 150 pounds for this one, which I understand is in the right range.

I think if I make the adjustments mentioned above I'll pull it off ok, but partof me is thinking I could just return it and look out for something else...

I'll see what the Mrs thinks.

Thanks man.
Holy mutha, what manner of sorcery made that leather!?

I think the fit looks way better in the pics than in the flesh tbh. I'll sleep on it but I think I'm going to return it, unless anyone here really wants it in which case I'll pass it on at the same price. The label does say 46 which is very big considering I usually wear a 38/40. I reckon I'd be alright with a 42.

I've had a couple of Lescos - nicely made - v similar in style and quality to Schotts of the same period. However there's little or nothing on the history of Lesco anywhere on the net. The only info I've dug up is a brief mention of a NYC Lesco that made leather bags and their logo was similar to that found in Lesco jackets

Totally true. There are a couple of fringe makers like Passaic, Fidelity and Taubers that made great stuff and simply vanished. I believe Passaic is still supplying cop shops tho, not sure, their web site looks like the very first webpage ever published. Very hard to find info on some of those makers despite the large volume of stuff they produced.

Man, I don't know what kind of brass Lesco were using on their zippers, but it sure is yellow.

It looks good on you. Sleeves are a bit long. I've got a 60's vintage Lesco that might fit you better, in great shape, if you return that one.

Thanks Guppy, I like the brass on this one but it is very yellow. I did see yours and was on the verge of messaging you last night re measurements etc. I didn't because I don't want to spend more than I did on this one, at least not by much, and I didn't want to low ball you. I'll pm you about it later in any case.
