Hi alanfgag... Is the crown protector meant to remain int he hat indefinitely, or is it removed when blocked and worn?

It was meant to remain and add a layer of protection against stains to the silk liner. They can get torn. I've stabilized one or two with transparent tape and also removed one or two that were badly torn. It's not easy to remove completely where the paper is sewn through the liner's crown stitching. A tweezer helps.
