Greetings!
I am new to the forum and I am hoping to enlist you very knowledgeable members to help me find some information.

I collect Austro-Hungarian military cloth caps. Many were privately purchased while others were made under government contract, delivered to and issued from military depots (referred to as a monturdepot).

Most of these government contract caps were ink stamped in the lining with an acronym of the company name. I have only recently learned that a cap stamped "JHS Neutitschein" was made by the firm J. Huckels Sohne in the city of Neutitschein, a well known hat maker discussed in this thread.

Here is where I need help. I would like to try to learn the full company name of other hatters with government contracts. The most common acronyms stamped in caps are as follows:

T.L.G.
OTLG
OQSch & Ko
QB & Co
L.B. & S.
H.C.

Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated!
Brian

Nice 150 years Wegener Colonel - this time not a Homburg but the shape is similar.

Wow, great find! Is it black or really dark blue? I have yet to come across any good hats on the flea markets here. Your post did make me want to go today, but I was still not feeling 100% and it rained this morning so there wouldn't have been much there anyway. I'm hoping that the weather will be better next week and that the vendors have been saving up all their hats just for me :)

Steve, thank you. Yes it was in Dortmund and yes the Bratwurst was excellent lol.
Not much but I am happy with the first hat this year.

Celia thank you too. The Colonel is Black and nicely made of Wegener - a 67er .
I wish you luck for your next fleamarket trip .

Echter Velour - Soleil, Crown Open 6 inches, Brim 2 1/4 inches probably 1930s. No company mark but the shiny golden felt is beautiful. The Wet Brushed Velour - Soleil is very soft to the touch and easily dry creases. The sweatband has come loose in few areas and there is some felt wear at the the front crease but still very wearable. I would like to thank Daniele for the tip on this one that was on German Ebay.
