Since Baracuta stopped selling the original fit jacket...
I did not know that. I guess they've gone fashion-forward?
...O'Connell has started selling these made in America clones. Any thoughts?
I know from experience that O'Connells take quality and fit seriously, so it's a safe bet this clone is tip top. With luck someone will have direct experience, though.

Yeah, sadly, Baracuta only sells "modern classic" Harringtons (read: trendy slim-fit, which may be modern but it ain't no classic!).

If O'Connell's is putting their name on them, they are probably pretty nice. The fact that they are sold by chest size (rather than S,M,L) says something too. I was lucky enough to visit O'Connell's in the fall and was blown away by their selection and their customer service. They literally have tables just piled with trousers, sweaters, etc. It appears unorganized, but they can produce your size/color within a minute or so.

No experience of the brand - genuinely surprised they're getting away with calling it a 'Baracuta jacket' though, given its is the companies trade marked name.

Indeed. Either Baracuta aren't yet aware, or it's in the hands of their lawyers or - though it would surprise me - they don't have the mark registered in the US, and can't afford the litigation involved in common-law protection.
