A pretty conservative tie, but you need those on occasion (and it was 50 cents).
Harrods. All silk, made in England, 55" x 3-1/2".

They look some kind of Art Nouveau to me - although they seem to be homemade!?
Would guess 1900-1915 (maybe a bit later). They were really common around that, also for gloves.

No clue from me. I've never seen anything like them. I like Matt's answer. The carving is impressive, I doubt you'd find that on anything very modern.

Thrifted a few last night.
Creveling of California, silk, 51" x 4".
Challis, Chasin's, Long Beach, wool, 55" x 2".
Sergio Valente, linen, 52" x 2".
Countess Mara (of a different color), Godchaux's, silk, 55" x 3-1/2".
Found a shirt to go with it at the next place.

That Creveling is one sweet score, Bob! Nice well rounded haul. I remember having some skinny Sergio Valento ties, and maybe some slacks or something, back in the early 80s when I was still in high school. Odds are good they're up in my mom's attic somewhere. These days the ties would be the only thing that might still fit.

Thanks Dale! The only clothes I would buy new would be hats, shoes and ties (and I rarely buy new hats or ties). My weight has fluctuated so much that I have jeans from 34" to 44" waist in storage. You never know which ones I'll need.

Nice. I like the Creveling a lot, but the wool challis is really fab. I'm a big fan of challis. And those boxes you found the other day are killer. By the way, is there any sort of Dewey Decimal system for ordering and cross referencing neckties? Would be most handy.Thrifted a few last night.

From left to right, Wembley Wemlon, Pride of America 100% Rhodia, an extremely thick Canali 100% Silk, Wembley no content, unlabeled, damon all silk, Penney's Towncraft no content and finally a Bob-Tails with no content.
The Pride of America is patchwork constructed and labeled in the neck area Early American Patchwork in honor of the Bicentennial 1776-1976.
According to Vintage Haberdashers the Bob-Tails should be 1950s.
I also got two cummerbunds, is that how you spell that? Both modern, one black and the other brocade.

The Canali is a heavy piece of tie, built like a tank.
I couldn't resist the MBP or the Bugatti because men in hats
