so ... I didn't want to start another thread for this ... I figured it would fit in here ...

this is less for showing his hat and more for the facts about it that I found very interesting

growing up one of my favorite shows ... and still is one of my favorite shows ... was/is the Honeymooners

I remember every single night as a kid sitting with my dad on the couch ... he would have his bag of pretzels or chips ... and right after the Yankee game or the news we would watch the Odd Couple and then the Honeymooners on WPIX NY channel 11

just absolutely love those two shows

still to this day my all time favorite sitcom character is Ed Norton ... and I had always wondered about his hat ... so I found this interesting

searching for information for Al aka @Zombie_61 about the hat that Gene Hackman shaped to play Popeye Doyle I came across this info

5. NORTON’S SIGNATURE HAT BELONGED TO CARNEY.
The felt porkpie hat that Ed Norton wore was from Carney’s own wardrobe. He purchased the chapeau in 1935 when he was still in high school. It was the first hat he ever bought and cost him a whopping $5. In a 1985 interview with People magazine, Carney said that he still had the hat stashed in the closet of his home in Westbrook, Connecticut.

Pretty good painting if you ask me! I can't imagine some of these old Chiefs, scouts & other warriors adapting very well to "retirement" after the lives they lived & what they had been through. Perhaps taking up painting was good for Chato for that very reason.

All brave men, may they Rest In Peace & never be forgotten.

Dr. Mary Edwards Walker, [November 26, 1832 - Feb 21, 1919 (86 yr old)]

On Nov 11, 1865 became the only woman to receive the Medal of Honor & only one of eight civilians to ever receive it. She wore it pinned to her clothing everyday. It was later revoked because of the way she dressed.
